How does car suspension work?

Suspension combines tyres, springs, shock absorbers, sway bars, links and control arms to keep the tyres in contact with the road, improving traction, braking and stability.

How much does it cost to repair suspension?

Costs depend on the parts and wear found during inspection. A checkup identifies whether bushes, shocks or other components need replacement.

How do I know if my suspension needs repair?

Look for clunks or squeaks over bumps, uneven tyre wear, poor straight-line tracking, excessive body roll or instability under braking.

Is it safe to drive with worn suspension?

No. Worn parts can reduce braking performance and control. Book an inspection before further driving.

What are common suspension problems?

Misalignment, perished OE rubber bushes, leaking or faded shocks, incorrect components installed, wrong or illegal lift setups and ride-height issues.

How long does a suspension repair take?

Typical jobs take about 1–5 hours depending on the vehicle and parts involved.

What are the signs of a bad wheel alignment?

Steering wheel off-centre, pulling to one side, vibration or tramlining, and rapid or uneven tyre wear.

What happens if I skip wheel alignments?

Handling suffers and tyres wear quickly, which increases running costs.

When should I replace suspension bushings?

Replace when you see cracks, excessive movement or noise. Polyurethane bushings are a durable upgrade where available.

When should I consider a 4x4 lift kit?

When you need more ground clearance, wheel travel or to accommodate larger tyres and accessories. Choose a vehicle-specific kit.

Do I really need a wheel alignment and suspension check?

Yes. Alignment keeps geometry correct and reduces tyre wear. A suspension check spots issues early.

How often should alignment be done?

About every 12 months or sooner after off-road use, impacts, new tyres, or suspension changes.

How often should I check the power steering rack and pump?

Follow the service schedule; a good rule of thumb is periodic checks around every 20,000 km (12,000 miles) to prevent wear-related issues.

XC FALCON Suspension bushings play a critical role in how a XC FALCON handles, rides, and responds to load and road conditions. They cushion and control movement between XC FALCON suspension components, helping maintain alignment, absorb vibration, and support predictable suspension operation.

Over time, worn bushings can lead to excess movement, noise, reduced handling control, and premature wear across suspension components. Upgrading XC FALCON bushings is one of the most effective ways to restore suspension stability and improve overall vehicle feel.

Why Upgrade XC FALCONSuspension Bushings?

Factory rubber bushings are designed to balance comfort and isolation, but they can degrade under heat, load, off-road use, and age. As bushings soften or crack, suspension geometry can shift under braking, acceleration, and cornering, reducing handling consistency and increasing tyre wear.

Polyurethane bushings offer a more durable alternative, helping reduce unwanted movement and improve suspension precision. Upgrading bushings helps tighten suspension response, improve vehicle control, and extend component life, particularly for vehicles driven off-road, under load, or fitted with suspension upgrades.

XC FALCONBushings & Bush Kit Range

The bushing range includes vehicle-specific bushes and kits designed to suit key suspension mounting points.

XC FALCON Leaf spring bushes: Leaf spring bushes support the mounting points of leaf spring suspension systems, controlling movement and reducing vibration under load. Replacing worn bushes helps maintain rear suspension stability and improves ride consistency, especially on work and touring vehicles.

XC FALCON Sway bar bushes: Sway bar bushes secure the sway bar to the chassis while allowing controlled movement. Upgraded bushes help maintain effective sway control, reduce noise, and improve suspension balance during cornering and articulation.

XC FALCON Control arm bushes: Control arm bushes control suspension arm movement and play a major role in alignment stability. Replacing worn bushes helps restore steering response, improve tyre contact, and reduce uneven tyre wear.

XC FALCON Trailing arm bushes: Trailing arm bushes support rear suspension stability by controlling fore-and-aft movement. Upgrading these bushes helps improve rear-end control, reduce driveline movement, and maintain consistent handling.

XC FALCON Radius arm bushes: Radius arm bushes support suspension control and steering stability on many 4x4 platforms. Replacing worn bushes helps reduce steering wander, improve straight-line stability, and restore predictable suspension movement under load.

Each bush type is designed to support correct suspension geometry and long-term durability.
